I know the slides tilt away from the RV when they are out...but how exactly do they keep from allowing water intrusion when they are all the way in? There a tiny gap at the top when they are in and assuming the gutter is working they are covered I guess. I know there are seals but there is no way they seal well enough to be waterproof when gravity is involved.

Finally repainted endcap
Finally repainted front end cap. Found a place where I took a photo of front decal, along with dimensions, and they made a new decal. Only $75 for that. Looks so much better. No more faded front endcap. Trailer is 7 yrs old but looks newer than that. Next, all this year's summer upgrades.

Clogged Gray Tank Dump Valve
Tried to post this while on a 2-week trip while using my phone as a hot-spot wi-fi connection, but it never went out. Just passing on my experience. We were on a 2 week dry-camping trip to CO in our 2018 FR3 29DS and when I went to dump the gray tank at a dump station, I could only get a trickle and the dump valve would not fully close. At the next camping stop in NM, I removed the valve and found wood chips and styrofoam blocking the valve. We'd used our rig a total of 38 days since buying it new last OCT and never had a problem until this popped up. The construction-phase debris had apparently finally all made it to the drain at the same time and with the help of some grease and wife's hair (I lost mine long ago), stuck together to block the drain valve.

Polarity issue??
Jim here. I'm a newbie so bear with me please. I do love this forum site.
I have a 2018 Flagstaff Micro Lite trailer we bought in January of last year. The wife and I have camped in it many times with no problems. We also stay overnight some weekends at our daughters house. There we plug into an extension (12/3 100 foot cord). We have the adapters to plug into our cord on the camper which is 30 amps, and to this point had no problems running off a 15 amp breaker from their garage. (just the standard 3 prong outlet)
Now the fun. My son came to me asking if I had looked at the extension cord to the camper. I checked and it had fused itself together with the 15 to 30 amp adapter. No breakers had tripped which I thought was a little odd. I shut the power off, pulled the old cord out along with the damaged parts. I bought a heavier new cord (10/3 100 feet) and this time put my surge protector on line.
Everything in the trailer still runs, and I am really grateful for that. But when I turn my AC on my surge protector light tells me to reverse polarity. But the light on my power cord plugged into the camper stays blue. ( I think on the cord red means a problem, blue means it's ok?) Turn off the AC and everything goes back to normal. Two green lights on the surge protector, a blue light on the cord.
I'm at a loss as to what to try next. I'd like to avoid taking it back to Camping World but will if I have to. That and I want to be sure it's safe before we spend another night in it. Any advise is much welcomed. Thanks in advance.

AC on Generator
When I run my AC on shore power I have no issues.
When I run AC on the generator, it does not work. It will run for about 1 minute....fan and compressor....then it kills the whole RV. The generator continues to run, but no power to the RV......The generator runs the RV fine without the AC running.

New travel trailer 2608bs 2019
Brought our new travel trailer home July 6 pulled into the driveway five minutes before it started pouring.
Love the layout of this unit, will miss the big front pass through storage we had in our Winnebago mini plus (our grill will now travel in the truck bed). Spending the next two days double checking all the systems out to make sure they are working after the trip home. Heading out camping this weekend, DH who is 6'4" loves the space in the bedroom. Went with the table and chairs, had the dealer install a maxi fan and vent cover in the bedroom, upgraded to ceramic toilet.
Definitely will be looking at a different storage solution for the hitch as already don't like lifting it up into front storage bay.

Lost Ball Seal Joint
Ok, not lost but... Wife was cleaning the front toilet and managed to knock the ball seal joint down into the tank. I found a nearby rv dealership and put a new one back on but I'm curious if there is a way to get the seal she knocked into the tank out to help prevent it from clogging things up. Newbie battery questions
Hi. I just bought a new 2020 Premier 2514g pop up. It came with 2 group 24 batteries wired in parallel. When I looked in the battery box for the first time, I see that the pos and neg wires going to the camper converter are coming off the same battery. My first question is shouldn't the neg wire be coming from one battery and the pos wire be coming from the other battery?
Second question...I see that the pos and neg wires coming from the 7pin used to charge the batteries from the tow vehicle while driving are connected to the same battery. Shouldn't the pos go to one battery and the neg go to the other?
Third question...the alligator clamps in the pic are from my solar panel. Should the pos be connected to one battery and the neg to the other battery?
I drew this diagram of what I think it should look like. But, the pic shows how its wired straight from the dealer, and I'm assuming they know what they're doing?!
Thanks

3250 no power inside after unplugging from power supply
It's been a couple of interesting camping trips this year with the Cardinal. First time out this year shower door wheel fell off. Took it back to the dealer no problem put it back together away we go. Second trip out the other shower door wheels fall off, so why didn't the tech look at the other wheels while he had it apart ? Good question, trip back to the dealer and anyway all fixed and I had them use red lock tite on the screws. This past weekend get the camper all loaded up go to close the slides up they hardly moved and was very jerky. Finally get them in and head to the dealer again. I told them we were on our way camping so they got us right in. I told them I thought it was the touch pad but they had to check everything out. They replaced the touch pad and all is good. Start packing up to come home, frig is on gas all set to go unplug the camper and the frig stops running. What the hell now, go inside and no power to anything inside the camper, no lights nothing. Had to plug it back in to close up the camper as I had no power to the touch pad. The odd thing is the little light by the entry way still worked while it is unplugged and I could use the outside touch pad to retract the leveling and set the hitch height without being plugged in. So it looks like another trip back to the dealer.

360IBL Blow Out Repair (Driver's Side)
Hope you never need this info.
After working with Christy/Tracey at Coachman Parts I wanted to post the parts I purchased for this repair. I gave them the last 8 digits of my VIN and they were able to find the correct parts.

C01296574 CUP, LH MEDIUM SLIDE OUT CORNER BLACK 1 $9.74 $9.74
C01296575 CUP, RH MEDIUM SLIDE OUT CORNER BLACK 1 $9.74 $9.74
C01238476 FENDERSKIRT, BLACK HC UV 16" tires ABS .090 TANDAM PRE-DRILLED HOLES 77" 1 $53.72 $53.72

The "Cups" above are the parts at each end of the slide that ensure the seals overlap when the slide is closed preventing road-spray does not enter the travel trailer. Don't ask how I know these are necessary...

Circuit Breaker - Where to buy?
I want to add a 20A (120VAC) additional circuit to my 2013 Forest River Cedar Creek. The OEM panel has one, double (2 pole) space available.
Any idea where I can find a CB? Current CBs are model #MH-7. Not having much luck locating this item. I would install a single or 2 pole device. Thanks.

Lubrication for power jack
We have a Flagstaff MicroLite with a power jack. It works just fine, but the motor sounds awful when raising and lowering like it's straining. I used to grease the worm gear on the manual crank of my old trailer and wondered if my power jack should also be lubed periodically to maintain it properly. Your thoughts? If so, what should I use?

Location of Coach (Lippert) power step "circuit protector"?
Does anyone know where the main "circuit protector" is (not the fuse) for the power steps on 2012 329DS Georgetown? Is a "circuit protector" different from the 5 amp fuse?
The Coach (now Lippert) power steps got stuck in the extended position on our trip last week. Thankfully, it was on the return trip. I disengaged the step linkage so I could fold them back up and bungee corded them so we could get back home.
Per the troubleshooting step #1 in the manual, I put a multi-meter on main large red power source wire. It's getting no power with the switch on or off. As such, no other wires in the system are getting power either. I checked the 5 amp fuse in the battery control center and it looked fine, but I still replaced it with a new fuse (I luckily found a burnt 5 amp fuse for the starter battery boost in the process).
The manual says that if the main power source is dead (it is), then check the the "circuit protector" or "circuit". I have no idea what a circuit protector is or where it would be located, unless the circuit protector is simply the fuse.
I've spent several hours already trying to figure this out and the "circuit protector" issue is my last gasp attempt at fixing before getting on the dealer's long waiting list to inspect.

Adding extra batteries
We boondock a lot and are investigating rooftop solar. Part of doing that would be to add two more batteries. Has anyone done so with battery add and where did you put them. The most logical place would be in the storage compartment to the left of the entry door. The floor of that compartment looks like it might not be strong enough. Suggestions?

Heading down the Oregon Coast
We will be heading down the Oregon coast in a few weeks on our way home from a windsurf trip in the Gorge. We want to take the coast home to Los Angeles since I am finally retired and we are in no rush. We are planning to head north first to Astoria (recommended by a friend) and would love some recommendations for things to see and an RV park or 2 to stay maybe half way down the coast. Since its summer and state parks may be all reserved, private parks would work fine. Thanks for any and all thoughts!

AC Power Question No Readings on PCS Panel
This is the 2nd time I have asked this question about why am I NOT seeing any readings on the control panel even though I have the rig plugged into a 50amp outlet at home, both roof AC units are on/running and still NO readings of any sort! I have attached a couple of photos this time. Any help getting this issue resolved would be greatly appreciated!

Roof Disintegration
Hi Everyone. This is seemingly a unique to Sabre issue. Bought the unit (5th Wheel) new in 2014. Leave it in AZ year round. As of this past March I have discovered that the roof is disintegrating. This was the first time the issue was noticed. No problem as of March 2018. Talked to a repair shop and they said that they have seen several Sabres with this problem. Our neighbours have a similar unit (2014) and their roof is looking the same way. Other friends have left their rigs ini AZ for over 10 years; no damage. Have not contacted Forest River yet, I wanted to see if others had experienced this problem.
Any input appreciated. Thanks!
