Please help, not sure I understand the bypass system for water heater and I'm not sure if I burnt up my electric element. we have a sandpiper 36bhok 5 th wheel... we had service guy winterize it. ..went and opened it today. .turned water on and water heater. ..didn't realize there was a bypass. Went back out about an hour later and turned heater back off...and then found bypass...is a big red handle inside main water area and tank dump handle area. ...turned it. ..heard water rush to heater. .went inside and ran all air out of line (does this run air out of tank too? ) then turned heater back on and no hot water after almost 45 min. is there another bypass? or have we burned element out? didn't try propane...just electric as we needed to head home from our seasonal lot. any advice?
