Portable waste tank storage

I just bought a portable waste tank for this year's vacation. It's the first one I've had and I need a place to mount it during travel. Does anyone have any suggestions of what you've done or where not to mount it? My bumper is not designed to have a cargo carrier. Thanks in advance.
