I thought this would be something someone else had asked, but couldn't find anything so posing it here.
I just took a permanent spot in a campground at Lake Gaston, VA. Great spot, but pine cones and needles seem to rain down endlessly. I'm trying to see if anyone's come up with any ideas that would work. I've seen the pre-made roof covers Adco and others sell, but they're huge expensive, require very visible tiedowns and I'd have to cut the heck out of it to make holes around my vents, AC, etc. Also, the campground has policies about what you can and can't do, and although I haven't asked specifically, I have a feeling this would need to be something pretty much roof-self-contained, I.e. Not strapped all the way down the ground.
Has anyone had this issue, and if so, what did you do? The only thing I'm coming up with is a couple of tarps with holes cut around things that need air but then I have to figure out how to keep it up there.
Thanks in advance for any advice :)
