We recently purchased a 2016 Forest River Sanibel, took delivery 2 weeks ago.. Unit has a Dometic thermostat / Atwood furnace. Issue: We can set the thermostat to any temperature and the furnace will not start.
We have tried: re-initialized the thermostat, switched zones, fan modes etc. to no avail. I also checked the Propane tanks, the regulator.
Finally I removed the access door to the furnace and found the reset switch. After pushing the reset the furnace lights, and pushes warm air for about 5 minutes and shuts off. The factory default for the furnace is 65 degree, which it reaches then shuts off - working as designed.
Problem is - the only way to start the furnace is to push the reset switch each time we need heat. Which when the Colorado nights are around 35 degrees, occurs a few times each hour.. Any ideas what could be the problem? running out of ideas to try..
