Level Fridge

I understand the refrigerator needs to be somewhat level to function properly.

I assume this means whether you are on propane or electric for the freon to circulate properly. Does level mean in all directions and how close do I need to be?

If electrical is available will it switch over to that automatically?

I need to hook up prior to leaving next weekend to cool it down and load with cold stuff for our first trip.
